our approach

Our philosophy of college access counseling is rooted in the belief that every individual deserves the opportunity to pursue higher education regardless of their socio-economic background. We are committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment where students can define their academic goals while receiving personalized guidance. We aim to empower students to navigate the complex college admissions process with confidence, while developing skills essential for their success in higher education and beyond.

As our goal is to work with students from under-served communities, our counseling practice focuses on first-generation, minority, and low-income students. Our services include the following components which are vital for the success of these specific students:

Importance of starting the college conversation early
Need for family support during the application process and the college years
Personalized guidance through all components of the application process, with particular focus on scholarships and financial aid

We provide personalized service as each student’s story and journey is unique. We meet with the student’s family when necessary, and we are able to communicate confidently in both English and Spanish. Meetings can start as early as 9th grade, and we work with our students through the acceptance and selection of a university.
